Avoid spending the holidays behind bars in Minnesota

While we haven’t had any blizzards in Minneapolis yet, it is definitely getting colder. With Thanksgiving behind us and Christmas and New Year’s Eve in the coming weeks, we are definitely in the midst of the holiday season. This means lots of shopping, lots of family time and for many, lots of drinking. There is always a spike in the number of DWI arrests and drunk driving accidents around the holidays every year.

While it is fine to enjoy a few drinks with family members and old friends that are in town, it is imperative to do so responsibly. Throughout Dec. statewide law enforcement is participating in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign. This means that there will be increased DWI patrols across the state, including in Minneapolis.
